I look for the quietframe inside thebusy one.

I grew up on the coast of Portugal, where the light does most of the work. I started with my father’s film camera at fourteen and have been chasing a particular kind of stillness ever since: people between expressions, streets between crowds, weather between storms.

I shoot mostly on film and finish every frame by hand. I direct lightly, wait a lot, and deliver a small, carefully edited set rather than a folder of hundreds.
